We would like to introduce a case of the prevention activities against the Kasinaga (a type of pest) that our company conducted. We received a report from a kindergarten in Tokyo that a tree, which had a flying squirrel nest box installed, was dying due to oak wilt. We advised them to cover the base of a newly installed nest box tree with a protective sheet. City staff carried out the sheet covering, but upon inspecting the site, we found that the "base" was not covered.
